Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is hiring Maintenance Mechanics for a food manufacturer in the Hammond, IN area. Please apply for consideration.

• Location: Hammond, IN.

• Pay Range: $29 - $31 hourly

• Shift: 3rd

Responsibilities

• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance

• Record downtime along with reasons

• Troubleshoot downtime

• Complete and participate in maintenance / machine training sessions

• Replace and repair parts on equipment on an as needed basis

• Set up equipment on production lines as mandated by the line specifications

• Ensure that all production lines are serviced immediately to meet production schedules

• Participate in Continuous Process Improvement events as required

Qualifications

• Ability to make sound decisions on routine matters by applying explicit rules

• Must be able to use manual and pneumatic hand tools

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

• Must be able to work independently.

• Must be mechanically inclined

• Must be able to trouble shoot and make repairs on equipment

• Should possess a self-starting personality

• Possess good manual dexterity and the ability to reach above shoulder level

• Carry loads up to 25lbs

• Must be able to write clearly and accurately

Education/Experience

• At least 1 to 2 years previous experience in similar position

• Relevant certifications (preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Good organizational skills
